About James Nam

James is an established Physiotherapist and business owner in Sydney’s North Shore. He graduated with both Bachelor and Master's degree from The University of Sydney. Upon graduation he started off his career completing an internship at Royal North Shore Hospital. Since then he has worked in a variety of settings over the years being involved in Sports, private practice, corporate Physiotherapy within Westpac Banking corporation and mentoring University students prior to establishing Physio Room Pymble in 2016. His vast array of experience and exposure within the field has helped him gain insight into how to best implement what he has learnt into best practice. ​James's clinical interest includes complex and chronic pain management. His understanding of the human body goes well above and beyond just the area of pain. He is passionate about problem solving and finding the root cause of the issues, identifying, prioritising problems to come up with a long term plan and solution. James likes exploring the biopyschosocial (the biology, psychology and social aspects of a human) model and its complex connection to chronic pain. His holistic approach and hands on manual therapy techniques mastered over many years has helped his patients recover and feel long lasting relief. James is a true believer in empowering his patients to take control of their life and condition/injury.
