Background

About James Odonnell

As a Software and Digital Solutions Manager, I am deeply involved in designing and developing innovative solutions while also leading and managing a cross-functional team. With a strong foundation in hardware and software engineering, I balance hands-on technical work with strategic leadership. I am currently splitting my time between creating and refining Industrial IoT solutions, guiding my team, and driving product innovation from concept to deployment. My journey at Martin began as an Electronic Systems Engineer, where I honed my skills in developing and implementing complex electronic systems. Progressing to Lead Electronic Systems Engineer, I took on greater responsibility in leading projects and mentoring junior engineers. Later I advanced to the role of Engineering Supervisor, where I led the development of hardware and software for our Industrial IoT platform. These experiences have equipped me with a deep technical foundation and the leadership skills necessary to drive innovation and manage a high-performing team in my current role.
