About James Oregan

I joined Gilead in 2008 and have progressed from Construction Supervisor, Project Manager, Utility Engineer, Snr Facility Manager and Associate Director of Facility Operation & Sustainability since then. I have detailed knowledge of all aspects of each Facility & Utility. Since leading Eng. Facilities I have developed the organizational structure to capture Facilities, Utilities and Sustainability, implemented the Integrated Facility Management System at Cork Mfg & Dublin Distribution, lead Facility and Utility control measure during the Global Pandemic and return to site activities. I have lead the sites stragety intend goal for 2021 to develop a Sustainability Strategy for Gilead Ireland, and achieved certification for Gilead Sciences Energy Management System which is the first ISO accreditation for GSIUC and the first certified site in the Gilead Organization. I have also lead the concept, design, installation and delivery of on-site renewable solar energy project, continuing the commitment to reducing energy consumption at Gilead Ireland and achieve Net Zero Carbon emissions by 2030. I am a strong advocate and active Mentor in the GMentor Ireland Program and MTU Mentorship Program, managing & mentoring Engineering Interns, sponsor of Eng. Facilities & Sustainability Graduate placement at GSIUC. I continue to collaborate with external bodies as key speaker at SEAI Energy Data Management working group and Keynote speaker at ICBE (ICBE International Conference 2022)- Environmental, Social, Governance I have recently expanded my groups scope of responsibilities to include leading the Corporate Sustainability Utilities subgroup to deliver Gilead's CO2 Reduction goal if 46% by 2030 and RE100 by 2025.
