About James Oswald

After earning my Project Management Professional certification in 2020, I was chosen as the Senior Project Manager for the City of Santa Maria's Information Technology Division. I am also A+ certified by CompTIA, and I am a Microsoft Certified Professional. Prior to being chosen as the project manager for the IT Division, I spent close to 2 decades working in the field of IT. Since 2008, I was a Systems Analyst for the City of Santa Maria where I had the privilege of working on a myriad of different computer systems throughout the organization including desktop imaging, tablets, public safety equipment, radios, enterprise software systems, etc. Our Division served Police and Fire, City Management, Finance, City Council and the Mayor, the Attorney's Office, Public Works, Utilities, the Library, Community Development, and Recreation and Parks. Prior to that I worked on the technical side for various trash and recycling companies in Los Angeles including Waste Management. I thoroughly enjoy the people with whom I work and the challenges that come with implementing technology in government. I always seek to satisfy stakeholders and provide the highest level of customer service possible.
