I practice in the area of general civil litigation, with an emphasis on medical malpractice defense. For the past twenty-five plus years my practice has focused on representing hospitals, physicians, nursing homes and other health care providers throughout Georgia and South Carolina. From pre-suit investigation through final judgment, I have obtained numerous medical malpractice defense verdicts in State and Federal Courts. I also have extensive experience representing health care providers called before their respective licensing boards in both Georgia and South Carolina. I frequently present and have published on numerous topics related to medical malpractice. These presentations have included at Grand Rounds, by invitation at physician specialty group annual conferences, to medical societies and at legal CLE conferences, including the American Board of Professional Liability Attorneys’ annual convention. I have been board certified in medical malpractice law by the ABPLA for over ten years. I am recognized by Martindale-Hubbell as a Preeminent AV rated attorney and Platinum Client Champion. I have also been consistently designated as one of Georgia’s “Super Lawyers” as well as one of “America’s Top Lawyers.” In addition to medical malpractice, I have experience handling comprehensive general insurance defense, including suits involving allegations of premises liability, product liability, defamation, breach of contract, worker’s compensation, and automobile and trucking liability.
