About James Parks

I’m an innovative aerospace engineer with extensive experience in propulsion systems, flight hardware development, and advanced validation techniques for mission-critical aerospace programs. Over the years, I’ve led multidisciplinary teams on projects for NASA and key industry partners—transforming complex engineering challenges into robust, flight-certified solutions. My career highlights include spearheading the design, testing, and optimization of the Orion OMS-E Pneumatic Isolation Valve (OPIV) replacement, where I developed comprehensive test procedures and implemented cutting-edge manufacturing improvements. I also drive innovation in superconducting motor research and have successfully developed advanced analytical models (including FEA and CFD) that have significantly enhanced our propulsion systems' performance. I excel at bridging the gap between rigorous engineering analysis and practical, real-world application. Whether it’s refining manufacturing processes, troubleshooting integration issues, or crafting new technology proposals, I’m passionate about pushing aerospace technology forward. Collaboration is at the heart of my work—I’ve coordinated with NASA centers, liaised with external partners like JPL, and mentored rising engineers to build the next generation of aerospace solutions.
