About James Parrinello

Forge Global Holdings, Inc.(NYSE: FRGE) is a global trading marketplace leveraging technology, data, and insights to make the private markets more accessible and transparent. As Forge's VP of Legal; Strategic Initiatives & M&A, I partner closely with our executive team and division leadership to help reinforce the company’s position in the emerging technology-driven ecosystem of the private markets. Since joining, I’ve helped navigate international expansion and growth through a range of corporate transactions, including Forge’s joint venture with Deutsche Börse, which established Forge Europe, and a listing of Forge on the NYSE through a SPAC merger. I’ve also led or executed on minority investments, commercial partnerships and agreements related to the firm’s proprietary data products and services. Most recently, I negotiated and closed Forge's strategic partnership with Yahoo Finance to bring greater visibility to the private markets. Prior to Forge, I served as a corporate and securities associate at Baker & McKenzie LLP and Coblentz Patch Duffy & Bass LLP, where I structured, negotiated, and led more than eighty buy- and sell-side transactions valued between $100K and $2.3B. Examples included mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings, joint ventures, divestitures and global expansions, and complex license arrangements, as well as company exits, acquihires, and tax-driven restructurings and reorganizations. Along the way, I’ve led deal teams of up to fifteen people, and mentored eight attorneys on matters ranging from technical aspects of corporate law to understanding and negotiating the competing motivations of deal stakeholders. I spend my free time exploring the Bay Area with my family and playing golf, racket sports, and competitive soccer.
