About James Pearson

I have close to 20 years of experience in the games industry working in roles closely aligned to customer support or community management. I have worked in several different countries working on multi-lingual teams with members from across the world and different cultures. Which has provided me with insights into different approaches, providing me with many different tools and experiences I can apply to excel at any role I take up. Some of the highlights of my experiences include: • Volunteering and being offered a paid position • Running the world's first Esports tournament televised from in-game across the internet • Performing RMT investigations & Internal Audits/Fraud checks • Inspiring a group of players to develop a learning community • Being awarded multiple stock grants for excellent performance I have worked for several of the biggest companies in the games industry such as Bioware, Electronic Arts, and CCP Games. This includes being credited for my work on Eve-Online, Star Wars: The Old Republic, FIFA, and Battlefield. Outside of this I have also be involved with communities covering everything from game communities and conventions to mental health. I have participated in several charity bike rides and in a recent work-related event, managed to complete over 500km in a month. I wish to pursue my interest in helping communities whether they be around the games industry or any other.
