About James Pingel

Prior to his retirement, Jim served as a Vice President at the Reiter Affiliated Companies’ (RAC), and as the President of FreSeguro, Inc, a Captive insurance company owned by RAC. He also served in a variety of Corporate Officer or Director roles for most of RAC’s global operating entities. He oversaw RAC’s Risk Management and Real Estate activities, and the financial activities of RAC’s international holdings companies. He also served on a number of Trustee Boards and Committees for RAC's various treasury, employee benefit, and retirement programs. Jim was with RAC for 23 years, and in addition to the above, he has served as RAC’s CFO, and Corporate Controller. Jim’s career has also included 23 years in the entertainment industry, 17 of which was with the Roy E. Disney family owned Shamrock Holdings, Inc. and Shamrock Broadcasting, Inc, where he served as Vice President & Corporate Controller. His entertainment industry career permitted him to progressively serve in a variety of other financial and accounting leadership positions, in radio and television broadcasting, and television program production. Jim made the jump to the agricultural industry in 1998, when he was hired by San Miguel Produce, as Controller and was subsequently promoted to VP- Finance, prior to joining RAC in 2001. Throughout his adult life, Jim has enjoyed serving as a volunteer leader in a number of church and community organizations, including as an Officer and Director for Habitat for Humanity of Ventura County. Additionally, he has served as a speaker or panelist at various Captive insurance industry conferences. Jim is a graduate of Pepperdine University, and among other achievements earned his Certified Risk Management designation.
