Now: Experienced Senior Recruiter and Business Owner with expertise across a range of industry areas for the Japan market (over ten years) as well as North Asia. Ten Years at Michael Page Japan as a recruiter and in a leadership role for more than half of that time which included new business launches. Nine month project at Uber to recruit across Mobility and U4B as the North Asia TA team was rebuilt. Skilled in: Hiring Strategy, Talent Attraction and pipelining, Interviewing, Business Development. Background: Grew up in a very working class background around funfairs as part of a "traveler family" in the Showman's Guild of Great Britain. Had an outstanding academic record. Represented Houghton Kepier and Durham Sixth Form as well as County Durham FA and County Durham Schools FA two and three years respectively. Reached the last 64 for selection for England FA Schoolboys (withdrew due to injury) before moving to New York to represent Columbia University Men's Soccer for four years, the final year as Captain. Things I care about: Fairness, Equality, Discrimination, Bullying, the Environment, Mental Health and Wellbeing, Animal Welfare (dogs especially!), Openness and Listening first.
