Twenty years of practice in detailed piping & plant design for the LNG, Refining, & Chemical Engineering industries. Proficient in Intergraph SmartPlant 3D Design (S3D)(7 years), Intergraph PDS (5 years), SmartPlant Review, CADWorx, Navisworks, Bentley AutoPlant 3-D, AutoCAD Plant 3-D, and MicroStation. TWIC certification and identification.Experience in plot plan development, piping design, equipment layout, and structural planning for greenfield (grass roots) and brownfield (revamp) projects involving Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG), Ethylene & Polyethylene Units, Hydrotreaters, Fluid Catalytic Cracking, Sour Water Strippers, Sulfur Recovery, Tail Gas Treating, Amine Recovery Units, and Chemical Plants. Proficient in detailed equipment design and checking, using vendor drawings and S3D / PDS 3-D models. Extensive practice and background in 3-D design (15+ years). Experience in site evaluation of existing equipment and piping systems for modification and tie-in interface.Experience in design of an Ultra Pure chemical plant (ammonia, chlorine and hydrofluoric acids) using lined, plastic, and fiberglass piping systems. Design involved considerable safety planning and operational considerations.Practice in design of Direct Iron Ore Reduction and Steel Mill facilities.Experience in materials management/estimating using PDS Oracle and Microsoft Access databases and Excel spreadsheets. Also responsible for specification development and project coordination.
