As a dedicated Biologist, I bring nine years of extensive research experience in molecular biology, specializing in Next Generation Sequencing (NGS), Sanger Sequencing, PCR, and qPCR techniques. My adaptable nature has seen me seamlessly transition into diverse roles, demonstrating quick learning and a passion for innovation. In my current role at Amentum - BioWatch, I conduct vital non-research biological science work, employing microbiological and molecular methodologies. My responsibilities include DNA extraction, real-time PCR for identifying pathogenic agents, and meticulous QA/QC testing aligned with SOPs. Previously, at the University of California, Riverside, I led multiple projects, notably pioneering a qPCR workflow to estimate biomass in Mega-Fire soil samples. My contributions extended to Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) Library Prep and Data analysis, fieldwork, and analyzing microbial communities' dynamics in fire-affected environments across multiple states.
