I am a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England & Wales having qualified in 1994, worked from 1996 to 2021 in the captive industry in Isle of Man, Bermuda and from in the Cayman Islands. Since that time I have been a temporary financial controller for 2 organizations until taking up a permanent chief financial officer role in late 2022. My training as a Chartered Accountant has given me an overall exposure to financial reporting and auditing, a good general grounding in business acumen. In my current assignment my role has grown from pure financial reporting to that of trusted advisor to the business adding value to heads of operating divisions for the Turtle Centre, also together with the CEO representing the Centre's interests at Cabinet and Ministry level. I oversee a finance team of 5 providing an environment of trust and it thrives as a result.
