About James Roark

My electronics career started with the US Navy in 1980, I completed the Navy Avionics school and was assigned to Attack Squadren 192 in Lemoore Ca. Within 4 years, I was a QAR and supervisor of the Comm/Nav shop. I have both organizational and intermediate levels of troubleshooting experience, I stayed in the Navy Reserves working on F/A18 and C-9 avionic systems and until retirement in 2003. I addition, I also hold an FCC license to work on public communication equipment. In 1984, I started with the Xerox Corp. My duties there included installation, maintenance and repair Xerox Copiers, Printers and Fax machines. I was a Workgroup Leader the majority of my time at Xerox and had between 5 and 9 technicians on my team. During this time I also attended evening classes and completed my Bachelors Degree with Honors in Management. I changed careers after 22 years with Xerox. In 2007, I started work for L-3 Communications, Security and Detection Division. I am based at Tulsa International Airport, but travel frequently to various sites across the country. My duties include installation, maintenance & repair of Conventional and CT X-ray, Millimeter Wave Equipment, specifically the Examiner explosive detection systems and ProVision advanced passenger screening systems. Also Ion trace detection equipment. I have been lead technician on many Projects and installations throughout the U.S. I volunteer in my community as a Firefighter/ EMT at the rank of Assistant Chief Officer. I have Firefighter certification from Oklahoma State University and I am a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician. I currently hold a valid US Passport and a clean driving record.
