TECHNICAL: Feb. 1995 - Present - Taycom Technical, Germantown, TN. It Support Specialist I worked onsite at the Hilton Hotels Memphis corporate offices servicing the brand’s computer systems (Hampton, Homewood Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, ECT.). It is a fast paced environment utilizing the latest computer, network, software, and phone technologies. I was responsible for the support of most of the executives on the Memphis campus. My past duties with Taycom included managing what was Taycom’s largest on-site service contract with Smith and Nephew Inc. for 10 years. I managed a high volume of service calls and supervised and trained up to 10 technicians in a fast paced environment. I was responsible for the diagnosing and repair of hardware and software related equipment problems for a 2500 user/multi-network business environment and supporting Hewlett Packard, IBM, Apple, Toshiba, Dell, Cisco, and Microsoft products. My project management experience includes managing ongoing, large scale projects, including equipment, software, and operating system roll-outs along with the day to day service support at Smith and Nephew. I have also worked as a service technician and helped manage several other large accounts with Taycom, including AutoZone, Dover Elevators, Memphis Light Gas and Water, and Bryce Corp. 1992-1995 - Logistics Management Inc. Memphis, TN. Electronics Technician & Assistant Manager. We performed component level and whole unit repair of IBM, HP, Apple, and various other laser, inkjet, and dot matrix printers. Troubleshooting and repair of HP, IBM, Compaq, Apple, and other types of computers, monitors and laptops was part of my duties. I also connected with customers and manufacturers and these duties included customer relations and problem solving. I also did technical writing for evaluation and repair pricing of equipment and trained and supervised employees. 1986-1989 Cruzan Labs Inc. St. Croix, USVI. Field Technician. Collected, tested, and transported drinking water samples from St. Thomas/St. John to the St. Croix lab. I also counseled customers on clean drinking water and equipment issues.
