I'm an eight year Marine Corp Iraq War Veteran. I began my EHS training and education while being assigned to the Environmental Health and Safety and Industrial Hygiene unit at Marine Corp Base Camp Pendleton California. After my departure in November of 2003 I relocated to Visalia in the California Central Valley.Due to the agricultural environment It was extremely difficult to find employment in my career field as manufacturing was not around in the area. I became a nurses aid and also was employed at a skilled nursing facility while waiting to begin the Licensed Vocational Nursing program.An EHS Technician position came about and was hired in the area. From that day to the present my EHS career has been quite a ride.I learned many new skills and gained experience that has opened many doors for me. The best part of this ride has been the thousands of employees that have been able to go home to thier familys safe and sound. With the full support of EMPLOYEES from all levels along with my skills, training,and experience. My succsess has been from teamwork and dedication. I definitely wouldn't be in the position that I'm in today if it wasn't for them. If your not in this for the employees health and well being. Then this world is not for you!
