About James Rous

Creative, inspirational and articulate, I'm a strategic thinker and natural problem solver. I have over ten years of management experience, mainly within marketing. I'm dedicated and self-motivated, I'm able to work using my own initiative, however I value the contribution of others and have proven success in leading a team. Having gained valuable skills working as a graphic designer, I progressed to a site lead role for OLIVER - managing a growing team, producing a wide range of printed and digital marketing. I seek to gain a deep understanding of a brand, a product or service and business objectives. This allows the efficient delivery of brand-consistent marketing communications, which can build trust and boost sales. I have experience in developing and maintaining relationships with both colleagues and clients, whilst delivering against sometimes conflicting objectives. My leadership role at OLIVER was integral in achieving account growth, seeing the expansion of contracted services and ad hoc business. In my current role I manage all marketing and design work (across print and digital) and various other communications for Broadway. This role has allowed me to gain a greater understanding of B2B relationships, particularly in UK plastic manufacturing. My experience to date has enabled me to develop a broad range of skills including; account management, creative and art direction, copywriting, project management, studio management, design for print and digital, brand development, brand guardianship, resourcing, recruitment, management of P&L, mentoring, performance management and reporting.
