About James Salley

I have an extensive background in UI design, experimental design, statistical analysis, modeling, and data visualization. I was formerly a Cognitive Systems Engineer at Resilient Cognitive Solutions. My work focused on developing decision support systems for a variety of domains using the Applied Cognitive Systems Engineering methodology. My research interests include-Designing novel data visualizations that allow machine learning-based algorithms to be easily understood and more effectively utilized-Discovering methods of helping users cope with big data problems that allow them to effectively "find the needle in the haystack."-Understanding and combating the circulation and acceptance of misinformation and disinformation through the use of understandable and effective AI.
