Active Security Clearance and currently Junior Team Leader (JTL) for the United States Air Force Financial Improvement and Audit Readiness initiative (FIAR). Working closely with the USTRANSCOM Point of Contact (POC) to initially document processes, identify gaps, and develop Corrective Action Plans (CAP’s). Currently transitioning to active audit support, implementing Standardized Operating Procedures (SOP’s), responding to ‘Provided by Client’ (PBC) requests and providing coaching and knowledge transfer to the POC. Seasoned internal auditor, with extensive experience in large multinational manufacturing and sales organizations performing operational/financial auditing and SOX testing (Sarbanes-Oxley Act of 2002). Staffing ranged from a single person to a group of three and duties included team coordinating and management. Outside ‘guest’ auditors were also utilized. Ongoing operational control/efficiency improvements were a key component of each audit, including participating in more formal ‘LEAN’ events to streamline various internal processes. Performed third party vendor audits for outsourced manufacturing and procurement, warehousing, co-packing, coupon processing, sun care returns, freight carrier payment processing and outsourced sales activities. Worked closely with the Legal Department to review and revise contacts. Responsible for construction and recovery audits and management of three person payroll and benefits department for a large multinational petrochemical company.
