I'm a staff software engineer in Austin, TX, with an interest in geospatial and mapping technologies. I code primarily in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript. Recently, my focus has been on building robust automated ground control systems for a constellation of satellites. I've designed and delivered well-tested, well-engineered components and systems, on everything from large front-end applications to complex database migrations. I've led efforts to measurably reduce costs, decrease latency, and increase performance for end users, while maintaining strict SLAs. I have several years experience working remotely on distributed teams, and have strong written and verbal communication skills. I enjoy understanding customer needs and working with teammates across the product stack to meet those needs. In my work in state and federal government, I've helped transform agency technical approaches both in terms of technical infrastructure and software development practices.
