Changed business model to focus on business lending, leveraging a banking relationship model to attract SMBs to the Bank. CORPORATE TRANSACTIONS: Served as the primary leader to attract $100M in new capital from the 4 largest banks and U.S. Treasury ensuring the bank’s long-term viability and organic growth to $1.2B. ENTREPRENEURSHIP: Negotiated acquisition as the founder of First Tuskegee Bank and led the De Novo effort of Memphis First Community Bank. Led due diligence teams, developed business plans, and initiated all regulatory bank start-up applications. STRATEGIC PLANNING: Developed new strategic plan and led rebranding of M&F Bank, positioning M&F as the premier small business lender in 5 NC markets.
