About James Simpson

Previously worked as quality manager at an AIHA and NVLAP-accredited laboratory. I developed three iterations of the company's laboratory information management system while in the position. I conducted internal audits of our quality management system and handle all external assessments of the laboratory, ensuring we meet and maintain our ISO/IEC 17025-accreditation. I am also a trained asbestos analyst (PCM, PLM) familiar with the industry in Japan and U.S. military bids. In the same company, I built and maintained an online pet goods retail presence on Amazon Japan and Rakuten Ichiba. For many years I was a freelance writer on Japanese security, Northeast Asia security, military history and video games, but I am currently on hiatus while I focus on my web development studies. I am also an experienced teacher of English as a Foreign Language with over 3,500 hours of solo classroom teaching experience covering a range of levels and types, including Business English, English for Young Learners, and Exam Preparation.
