About James Sitkiewicz
I started out in the culinary industry when I was 19 years old in Dubuque, Iowa and absolutely fell in love with it. Shortly after I moved to Chicago, Illinois and immersed myself in school, work and staging anywhere I could to gather knowledge in-between. I've worked in convention hotels, restaurants, retail prepared foods, banquets, R&D and vegan/vegetarian establishments. If it deals with food I am in my element. Currently working at the Art Institute of Chicago I'm getting more fine tuned with small to large scale catering events. Largest to date was the Democratic National Convention 2024 which sported over 800 attendees. Becoming versed with organization of events from start to finish is a very rewarding experience on top of day to day operations from the three on site outlets.
