About James Siu

Currently I am a inventory manager at REI. My role includes making sure the correct hardware is provided to the stores for replacement, schedule technicians if needed to assist with more difficult task on hands, meetings with outside vendor, reassuring stock levels of hardware is ready and sufficient, improving our processes with how to save money and making sure to close out on billings. Still an active Audio Visual technician at my current employer. Stage set up with any equipment that is needed, take downs, and along with my I.T. skills able to troubleshoot anything at the moment with it being hardware, software or network. I am a Tier 1/2 Service Desk technician specialist. In this role I am responsible for Imaging machines, deploying hardware, installing software and also provide costumer service in person. In this role, I am learning how to troubleshoot the different types of software issues a user may encounter, assist my team to reduce the ratio of tickets to the bare minimum and also continue to improve in my technical and professional skills. I am continuing to improve more on my technical, and professional skills in a corporate environment in order to be able to eventually teach those who are not familiar with technology to be better prepared. I am a mentor and program coordinator on the South side of the Seattle Community to assist and mentor those who are under privileged.
