I have 7 years experience working as an aviation electrician in the U.S. Navy. Of those years three were spent performing intermediate level maintenance. there my duties consisted of:* electrical shop supervisor.* Aircraft system wiring repair and quality assurance inspector.* Aircraft generator maintenance and quality control.* Automatic flight control system component maintenance and quality inspector.* aircraft landing gear electrical system component maintenance and quality inspector. I then spent 5 years working on the Sikorsky MH-60R with a forward deployed helicopter squadron in Spain. here I perform operational level maintenance and my duties consist of:* electrical shop supervisor.* Electrical systems quality assurance representative.* Airframe quality assurance representative.* Powerplant quality assurance representative.* Aviation ordinance quality assurance representative.* Plane captain my day to day tasks include:* workload management.* Aviation program management. ie: Tool control, FOD, Battery safety, and Compass calibration.* Aircraft system troubleshooting. some systems I work with regularly include: electrical and generator, automatic flight control, powerplant, hydraulic, landing gear, fuel, instrument calibration, transmission and drivetrain.* unscheduled and scheduled maintenance.* upkeep maintenance.* Daily and turnaround inspections. education:* Aviation electrical maintenance (us navy A-school)* H60 intermediate level maintenance (us navy C-school)* H60 operational level maintenance (us navy C-school)* Connector and wire repair (us navy C-school)* aviation electrical journeyman (USMAPS)* Currently working on my associates in business management and have plans to obtain my A&P license. I immensely enjoy challenging trouble shooting and working on aircraft. I would like to stay in the aviation community but would be excited to learn about and work on new systems or equipment.
