About James Solomon

Over the last 20 years, I’ve worked in the information technology field supporting windows and apple-based computers, printers, scanners, POS machines, security cameras, antivirus, UPS, NVR, network equipment such as switches, servers, wireless access points, TV, Phones, DVD Players, VHS Players, and other IT-related equipment and software. Over the years, I've had experience in making custom length CAT5, BNC, power, and phone cables and running those to various locations in buildings to terminate at their respective locations. I hold an A+ certification, MCP, and I’m an Apple-certified repair technician. I'm proficient with various Windows operating systems (XP through Windows 10), OS X, iOS, and Android platforms. I have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel, as both an end-user and as a supporting technician. I’m familiar with GoToMyPC, RDP, and Damonware to support telecommuting situations. I'm self-motivated and I'm familiar with how to research problems to quickly and efficiently resolve issues and to expand my technical knowledge and enjoy staying current on industry trends. I’m currently studying for my Network + certification with more advanced certifications to follow.
