About James Sowards

I am currently in my third year here at Stephen F. Austin State University and studied to get into the school of Cox Bussiness at Southern Methodist University before coming to SFA for a year. I have been a Student-Athlete at both universities and am currently still playing here at SFA. I am pursuing a double major in Marketing and Sports Business and plan to graduate in May 2022. I have worked for a local tech company here in Nacogdoches called 4Front. I have also started a vending machine company with one of my buddies to pursue hope in passive income. In Highschool, I managed the local snow cone stand in town, along with a seasonal firework stand. My mother is a real estate agent I have helped assist her and have knowledge in the real estate industry. In the summer of 2022, I did an internship with Elliot Electric Supply in the DFW area where I shadowed and worked alongside all aspects of the business from warehouse workers to District managers. Through all these experiences I have built up skill sets from building my confidence working with the youth, all the way to sitting in a brand proposal meeting and learning the language it takes to pitch a partnership idea.
