Adept at establishing relationships and collaborating with diverse groups to achieve goals I have been in human services field going back over 20 years in many capacities from direct service to administration. I graduated from Kennesaw State University with a degree in Human Services (2011) and Master of Public Administration (2013). Wanting to get back into direct service, I went back to school and graduated with Master of Social Work from the University of Georgia clinical program (2018). Currently license application pending by state of GA to be a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I currently hold credentials as a Human Service – Board Certified Practitioner (HS-BCP) and Certified Nonprofit Professional (CNP). Over the past 5 years I have worked throughout crisis inpatient units, clinical assessment, therapy, and other related crisis services in various human services agencies. As a social worker, I have a vast toolkit with which to treat individuals and help heal communities. I will help you to cope with and resolve issues like crisis, substance abuse, grief, family dysfunction and school adjustment. In my training, I have learned evidence-based techniques in social work that help guide individuals toward goals that can enhance overall quality of life. Over my years of experience collaborating with individuals, it is especially important for me to focus on your specific needs to determine the best way we can approach your treatment. Every individual is unique and has their own experiences that has led them to where they are today, and this makes their treatment individualized to them. My approach is an integrative or holistic therapy approach, which means I blend elements from different approaches and tailor treatment according to everyone’s needs. I specialize in using empowerment and motivational therapy to lead our sessions as we continue through your journey of improvement.
