About James Stinsman

I am a graduate of West Chester University with a Master’s in Public Administration and a Certificate in Sport Management and Athletics. During my time at West Chester, I worked as a Graduate Assistant for Facilities and Business Operations in the Campus Recreateation Department. I also achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport and Recreation Management with a Concentration in Governance and Policy from Temple University in May 2020. I gained valuable experience working in campus recreation during my time at Temple and West Chester. At Temple, I mainly worked in the intramurals department but gained additional experiences serving as the Student State Representative for the Pennsylvania Intramural and Recreation Sports Association (PIRSA). In this role, I assisted the leadership team with events such as Extramurals and State Workshops. Additionally, while working at West Chester University, I served at the Region 1 Student Leader for the National Intramural and Recreation Sports Association (NIRSA). In this role I represented all students across region 1 which consists of Washington D.C, Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, New York, Connecticut, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Vermont, New Hampshire, and Maine. Outside of my time working in campus recreation, I have gained a passion for working in high school athletics. While obtaining both my undergraduate and graduate degrees, I had the opportunity to gain internship experience working at St. Joseph’s Preparatory School under two separate Athletic Directors. These experiences taught me a lot about the industry and increased my desire to want to find a career in high school athletics. Currently, I hold a position at St. Joseph’s Prep as the Athletics Operations Coordinator. I am eager to see myself grow in this industry and I hope to have a long career in it.
