I have ended my career with Kapco and it was a great time. I learned so much to be thankful for from many great ppl at kapco. I have moved on with another company, as of March of 2021! I have a total of 19.5 years in with Kapco. 1 run of 5 years. And now 14.5 years- Set up and run knowledge of mechanical punch presses, Aida, Komatsu, Brown n Boggs, Blow, Usi and Verson presses, from 50 ton to 800 ton. We also recently added 4 new Seyi servo presses. I do not know much about servo- No experience with hydraulic presses- I have setup knowledge of cushion and knockouts- Remove and install spacers in presses, add parallels to dies to set them properly. Set up and get my own 1st piece inspections- I Have all my own set up tools and i know how to read and use most all quality tools for measuring parts to spec. I also am able to check my own parts. Very knowledgable at troubleshooting- I took on Weekend shift production supervisor of the entire plant to expand my knowledge of how things work from a different point of view versus running as a operator. I sure have learned alot. This also includes Fab supervisor for bystronic lasers, trump lasers, Brake press and a Tube laser and Tube bender- There is a lot to learn, but I am willing to learn new things and how to do them the best that I can- I am forklift certified- I have taken on the roll of material handler for nearly a year and a half, including pulling dies, bringing new dies to presses, loading coils and pulling parts and pickup parts that are finished at the press and moving to appropriate location for shipping- I know how to flip coils, reband coils and skid them with a forklift and a coil flipper- I have completed 5s training and have to lead my team with this- I currently have 20 employees that I oversee as supervisor for about 6 years now-Currently employed at htt stamping in sheboygan falls for 2 years and counting, running and setting up punch presses- No longer in management for now. But def looking to get back into it soon.
