I possess over a decade of experience in tactical/operational leadership, process improvement, safety management, budgeting, training development and delivery, leader development, and strategic planning. I have spent significant time overseas and possess a truly global perspective tempered by a sophisticated understanding of the dynamics of organizational behavior and strategy. I seek a position where I can do two things: influence others to achieve results (lead), and move into positions of greater responsibility as my abilities and knowledge increase (grow). My greatest strength is extensive proven leadership ability in the government and non-profit arenas. Professional strengths include- Strategic and operational planning. Developed and wrote annual organizational operations plans, led planning and integration of a massive restructuring of the AKARNG, and authored the AKARNG All Hazards Operational Plan and an updated organizational training regulation. Lead planner for a strategic initiative to enhance the professionalism of over 1,800 employees- Process improvement. Redesigned three major processes in two years involving combined budgets of over $40 million with estimated cost savings to the Department of the Army in excess of Reduced wait times for training applications from 100+ days to less than 24 hours- Communication. Facilitated numerous meetings, working groups, and strategic planning workshops on behalf of organizational leadership. Frequently brought best practices and senior leader perspectives to subordinate elements through informal staff assistance visits. Highly capable written communicator with numerous publications in professional journals on topics as diverse as cyber strategy, leadership, and professional education.
