Underground supervisor with 19 years of mining experience—7 of those in supervisory roles—I offer a leadership style grounded in safety, team development, and operational efficiency. My current role involves leading daily underground operations with a strong focus on safety, production targets, and team performance. I chair structured pre- and post-shift meetings, guide hazard assessments, and ensure high-level reporting and communication across departments. I take pride in mentoring crews, driving safety culture, and supporting operational excellence in high-pressure, production-driven environments. I am deeply committed to ensuring that all work is carried out in compliance with B.C. regulatory requirements and site safety standards. My experience also includes JHA creation, employee evaluations, and emergency preparedness through my active BC Mine Rescue certification. I hold several industry-recognized credentials, including a First-Class Blasters Ticket, Full Underground Blasting Ticket (with Shot Firing for Underground Coal), Level 1 First Aid with Transportation Endorsement, Coal Mine Fire Boss Ticket, and an Underground Shift Boss Ticket. With over a decade of experience as an underground miner and equipment operator prior to becoming a supervisor, I offer a well-rounded, practical understanding of underground hard rock mining operations. Throughout my career, safety has been the foundation of my work. I’m proud of a 19-year accident-free record and lead by example—fostering a culture of accountability, hazard awareness, and open communication. I’m skilled in chairing structured safety meetings, managing shift productivity, conducting detailed variance reporting, and mentoring crews for continuous improvement. With hands-on experience as a miner and equipment operator in both hard rock and coal mines, I understand the challenges crews face underground.
