After many years of working and feeling unsatisfied with working in the retail/consumer market, I am attending school to fulfill a passion that I did not know I had. I am attending school to become a social worker, with a desire to work in the court system to advocate for the youth through the juvenile system. I feel that this is a severely underserved population and I want to effect change so that many of the youth who are in trouble may have a fair voice that is heard and have a more positive outlook and expectation out of the juvenile system as opposed to just going through the cycle of incarceration and release back to incarceration.
