Consultant and professional engineer with over 20 years of experience in control and power engineering. Has worked for major hydro focused companies like General Electric, Woodward Governor Company, and L&S Electric. Has serviced, installed and commissioned hydro turbine control systems in over 22 countries. Specialties: new unit installations and commissioning, hydro plant control, digital control systems and protection systems. James has a double BS degree in Electrical Engineering with a major in Control & Power systems and Engineering in Physics. Holds Professional Engineering licenses for the states of Colorado and Alaska as well as Project Management and Six Sigma certifications. James participates actively with (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) in developing and maintaining standards related to control systems and is also the North American Expert for the IEC (International Technical Commission).
