I’ve worked at MIT, NASA and the European Space Agency over 2 decades designing and proving advanced compression apparel, including the deployment of my suits twice to the International Space Station to enhance astronaut physiology. The aerospace and medical industries know that effective compression is only realised via custom fitted garments imposing specially selected pressure regimes. We know how to subtly manipulate circulation to augment physiological performance, so I co-founded Cape Bionics because professional athletes deserve professional compression with consistent and genuine benefits. Cape produces compression sleeves, individually-sized from 3D athlete scans, to impose a unique and optimum pressure for either performance, recovery, or travel applications. Proprietary compression regimes and wearing protocols have been developed in conjunction with leading sports scientists, and the compression accuracy and physiological benefit proven through independent testing. The garments are produced at a medical facility in Melbourne, using premium European fabrics. Our garments are clearly differentiated in technology and category to off-the-shelf compression garments - we currently supply AFL and Union teams alongside their conventional compression contracts.
