About James Walker

With 17 years of global leadership experience in the U.S. Army, I have developed strong competencies in operations, resource management, logistics, victim advocacy, and inventory management. I have successfully led and supported diverse teams across three continents, adapting to different languages and cultures, and delivering results in challenging and complex environments. I am passionate about applying my skills and knowledge to better the physical, fiscal, and social environments for towns across America, starting with my hometown of Marion, Ohio. As a Planner's Aide at Marion Regional Planning Commission, I work on projects that involve subdivision reviews, zoning changes, land use, economic development, neighborhood improvements, homelessness intervention, and grant applications and execution. I am also pursuing a Civil Engineering degree from Ohio State to further enhance my expertise in this field. I am a proud MarionMade! community builder who strives to make a positive impact on the lives of others.
