About James Worrall

In 2007 I founded Leaders in Sport with a mobile phone, second hand laptop and a hunger to make a difference to the industry. Thanks to a brilliant team it has now become the premium conference and networking platform in world sport and continues on its purpose to move the industry forward. I am still involved as Non Executive Chair after selling the business to Advance Publications in 2018, and continue to work with the ownership and executive team on building events and relationships around the world, something I love doing. It has also allowed me to advise other world class companies and people, including INEOS Sport, The European Club Association and Deloitte Sport Business Group, and make some investments such as Alpine F1, Game4Padel, Super Sapiens and others. It has also given me the freedom to explore new markets, connect new investors navigate the industry and support high profile people on the business and performance side of sport. Finally it has given me the freedom to give back, and I am proud to support Everton's Foundation as a donor and advisor, recently helping them to launch the world's first Digital Learning Centre, and lecture to the Football Industry MBA students at Liverpool University where it all began for me in 1997.
