About James York

The world isn’t standing still. I strive to be a piece in the puzzle that moves us all forward. I have held multiple roles in the automotive field since graduating high school in 2015, all of which were a small step to where I stand today. Although my background lacks in formal education, I believe the only limit to learning is an individual’s determination and work ethic. With each role, valuable and unforgettable knowledge was added to my portfolio. From manufacturing automotive parts, stocking inventory in a warehouse or performing routine vehicle inspections, I reference these experiences daily in my current role. I like to think that I have the closest thing to the perfect career for this stage in my life. The blend of interacting with customers, allowing myself to shine by keeping a detail oriented parts room, and communicating with other team members and vendors ensures that no two days are the same. My recent accomplishment of obtaining my Class A Commercial Driver’s License was a lifetime goal of mine, and I am proud to be able to use this skill to accomplish team goals at Penske Statesville. I look forward to continuing to explore the opportunities at Penske Truck Leasing. My ultimate career goal is to help my peers utilize their natural abilities, and find as much joy in their roles as I have found in mine!
