Scenic Designer Youmans Designs Inc Jim is an award winning scenic designer whose work has been seen on Broadway, Off Broadway, major regional theaters, television, Theme Parks around the country, and International touring shows.He also designs for the corporate and special event world as well as themed architecture. Jim enjoys working in a wide spectrum of disciplines, bringing as much excitement to a Broadway show as to an important corporate meeting or product launch. The theatrical world informs the business and television world and cross pollination of ideas and challenges is what keeps Jim's work fresh, contemporary and entertaining. Some of his clients include Disney Theatrical, IBM, New York LIfe, Miller Coors, NBA, Universal Studios Hollywood, Hershey Park, HD News, ESPN classic, The Golf Channel, and that's not to mention Broadway shows such at West Side Story and Gypsy with Patti LuPone. Building on this varied and eclectic experience Jim and his team at Youmans Designs continue to grow and expand, embracing the ever changing and advancing technologies that make the design field so exciting. From simple hand drawn sketches to 3D renderings and fly throughs, YD employs a variety of visualization techniques to bring inspiring design ideas to life. Oh yeah, and then there's life. Jim is the father of two children Will and TImur. As much as Jim enjoys his work in the professional theater and event world, he has also been found turning card board and donated poster paint and craft supplies into sets for s for his children's school shows.
