About Jami Gomes

Prior to serving at AWM, my early years were focused in the performing arts as a classical dancer and concert production and event management through my family business. I accepted an opportunity in nonprofit management for the Police Athletic League of Manatee County, where I gained a wealth of experience. I have had a life-long passion for costumes and worked as a seamstress for Asolo Repertory Theater, Florida Studio Theater, and the Sarasota Opera Costume Studio for 15 years. After that time, I was offered a full-time position managing the Sarasota Opera Costume Studio, the largest collection of opera costumes in North America! During the height of Covid, when all performing arts centers were shut down, I was furloughed and started helping out at my husband's RIA firm, AWM, to learn new things during my downtime. I discovered that my skillset was also useful in the financial industry. I made the decision to join the AWM team full-time in 2021 as Client Relationship Manager and never looked back! I have acquired many new skills and I am now responsible for operations management, executive assistance, training virtual assistants, scheduling, billing, CRM management, client service requests, working with clients to create Family Estate Organizers, and support to our advisors. I am a licensed Florida Insurance Agent and the Insurance Producer for Advanced Wealth Management, specializing in Medicare, Long-Term Care insurance, Annuities, and IULs.
