About Jami Harvey

Experienced mental health professional with a demonstrated history of work in the health care industry. Strong administrative professional with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and experience working in higher education encouraging and assisting students with their mental health as they work to reach their educational goals. While we work to diminish the stigmas surrounding mental illness and promote awareness, I believe it is just as important that cultural awareness and education must be present. My lived experience and my ability to carry my community’s history and stories will only assist my pursuit to become a culturally competent and experienced psychologist. My interests reside in human development with a specific interest in infancy and early childhood development. I am also curious and interested in learning about how psychological methods and psychological pedagogy can be integrated with traditional Indigenous teachings.
