About Jamie Auck

With decades of programming experience using over a dozen languages, I am a skilled and tenacious problem solver. There is nothing more satisfying than reducing a complex problem to a few elegant lines of code, and I excel at finding solutions regardless of the technologies involved. I have a proven track record of picking up and running with new technologies: Having never worked with Python or Kubernetes I was productive in the first sprint, and within 3 months I had streamlined our build scripts and deployment process, and developed a Python template project for use with all future Kafka consumers/producers. With a basic mock up and a 15 minute conversation, I designed and developed an event driven dashboard with near real-time counts and filtering on data sets of up to 3 million items, exceeding all client expectations. I have the skills, and the ability to learn more on the fly, but perhaps more importantly, I have humility and respect. I recognize that even someone I am teaching has the capacity to teach me if I am paying attention, and my interactions in group settings carry this mindset.
