About Jamie Barron

I am a Senior Designer at Doug Aitken Workshop, a creative studio focused on spatial experience and digital sculpture. I have a Master's degree in Architecture, 9 years of experience in this field of design, and a strong portfolio of immersive artworks that combine art and technology. My core competencies include visual design, fabrication, project management, and collaboration. I have led teams from sketch to installation on five career-defining large scale artworks, designed three retrospective exhibitions in major museums, and helped establish and grow an in-house fabrication team during the pandemic. I am proficient in a wide range of design tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite, parametric 3D modeling, rendering, animation, and 3d scanning and digital fabrication. I am also passionate about learning new skills and staying updated with current design trends. I am a creative and technical professional who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. I am adaptable, resilient, and cool under pressure. I enjoy working with diverse and talented people who share my vision of pushing the boundaries of visual design and creating engaging and interactive experiences that leave a lasting impression.
