About Jamie Boyd

Jamie is a Founder and Managing Partner at Cypress Capital Group. With over 25 years of leadership experience spanning investment banking, private equity investing, corporate law, and executive financial management (CEO and CFO), he is a seasoned professional equipped to drive financial excellence and strategic growth in the dynamic middle market economy. Prior to founding Cypress Capital Group, LLC, Jamie was a Managing Director at Cascadia Capital, LLC ("Cascadia"), a national investment bank, where for over 20 years he helped guide and grow the firm, as well as ran one of the most successful investment banking franchises in the middle market centered on the theme of Energy Transition and Climate Technologies. Additionally at Cascadia, Jamie advised companies across the diversified industrial landscape and other industry verticals. From 2021 to 2023, Jamie founded and was CEO of Cascadia Acquisition Corporation, a Nasdaq-listed special purpose acquisition company. Jamie led the formation, capitalization, and IPO process, which resulted in raising in excess of $150m USD. Post-IPO, Jamie managed all aspects of governance, operations, financials, and reporting of the company. Prior to joining Cascadia, Jamie was a lawyer practicing corporate securities and M&A law for an international specialist law firm called Dechert LLP. Before entering the legal profession, Jamie worked in Vancouver, Canada at Colliers International, where he advised corporate and institutional clients with respect to significant commercial real estate investment transactions. Throughout his career Jamie has been fortunate to invest in a number of successful private companies, as well as serve on the boards of private businesses and community organizations alike. Jamie holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree from the Sauder School of Business at the University of British Columbia, a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from Gonzaga University School of Law, where he was a Thomas More Scholar, and a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from New York University School of Law.
