About Jamie Broad

I am a Physicist working as an Senior Engineer at Frazer-Nash consultancy. I have engineering experience in designing, analysis, and testing of various types of systems, including plasma devices, nuclear reactor cores, and RF systems, from initial scoping calculations through to full multi-dimensional simulation, hardware design, testing, implementation, and experimentation. I have run a linear plasma device to an agreed experimental plan to determine device performance and areas of improvement. I can develop novel solutions to challenging problems and see them through to realisation. This includes understanding and modelling physical phenomena and deriving background equations from first principles. Previously, I studied at the University of Bath in Physics, and gained a first in my integrated master’s degree. I have a large passion for learning and reading, both for pleasure and for study, otherwise in my spare time I play various games – both digitally and tabletop - mostly focusing on roleplaying type games and puzzle games with friends.
