I am a licensed architect and LEED Accredited Professional with more than 17 years of experience in design and construction. I have worked on workplace interiors, airport, commercial, educational, institutional and government projects as project architect, project manager and construction administrator; I have also provided BIM software coordination, LEED coordination services from conceptual design through certification, and interior finish selection services for various project types. In addition to my work in the design & construction industry, I am an alumna of the Japan Exchange Teaching (JET) Programme, under which I taught English in Japan from 2015-2017. I have an enduring passion for cultural exchange and currently chair the Richmond Shimada Friendship Commission helping facilitate the sister city relationship between Richmond, California and Shimada City, Japan.
