My responsibilities include: Product Development & Maintenance: I regularly contribute to the development and enhancement of our application, utilizing technologies like ColdFusion, SQL, and JavaScript to deliver high-quality solutions. Onboarding & Mentorship: I designed and implemented an efficient onboarding process for new developers, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge and tools needed to make a meaningful impact from day one. Global Client Support: I create and implement SQL batch scripts tailored for our global clients, ensuring seamless data management and processing. Automated Testing: I am one of the principal developers responsible for the creation and maintenance of our automated test framework, which is vital for maintaining the high standards of our application and ensuring customer satisfaction. Security Leadership: I proactively took on the responsibility of leading Security Awareness training for our employees, delivering regular presentations on topics like Phishing, Social Engineering, and Ransomware. Additionally, I currently lead the Security Task Force, where I manage the evaluation and coordination of vendors for vulnerability assessments. Leadership & Initiative: I have demonstrated leadership by stepping up to manage projects and tasks as needed, ensuring that our development processes are both efficient and secure. Community & Culture: I founded and currently chair the VelocityEHS Cork Sports and Social Club Committee, which has been instrumental in fostering team morale and engagement, particularly during the challenges of remote work due to the pandemic. Previous Experience: Software and Security Engineer In my previous role, I specialized in web application security, leading initiatives to protect our systems from external threats. My key responsibilities included: Running OWASP ZAP and other penetration testing tools found in Kali Linux to safeguard our web applications. Updating security policies and delivering Security Awareness training to enhance the company’s overall security posture.
