Jamie's practice focuses on corporate and commercial transactions, with an emphasis on public offerings, private placements, and mergers and acquisitions. He also advises public entities regarding corporate governance matters and ongoing compliance and reporting obligations.Jamie's experience includes acting as counsel to issuers and underwriters (as lead, co-lead or team counsel) with respect to public offerings and private placements of various securities. In the past three years he has participated in financings aggregating $782.5 million. Jamie also acts as counsel to acquirers and targets in M&A transactions (as lead, co-lead or team counsel), including with respect to the following recent transactions-$22.6 billion merger of a Canadian multinational integrated oil and gas corporation with a Canadian oil sands producer-$2.5 billion merger of two British Columbia oil and gas corporations-$6.6 billion acquisition by a US multinational oil and gas corporation of an Alberta oil and gas corporation- Acquisition by a US special purpose acquisition company of a Canadian digital and satellite service provider-$1.1 billion acquisition by an Alberta oil and gas energy trust of certain oil and gas properties-$4 billion merger of two Alberta oil and gas energy trusts
