About Jamie Geraghty
I have been involved in Calisthenics since 2012. In that time I have become the first Athlete to represent Ireland in the WSWCF Calisthenics World Cup Super Final, 2019. I was also the first Irish athlete to compete abroad and to win the International Calisthenics Cup, in 2017. Bar Monkey is Ireland's Largest Calisthenics Club, with two locations and over three hundred members. We have successfully implemented Calisthenics Programmes throughout Ireland working with Clubs, LSP's and Schools to grow and develop the sport across the country. I have established the first National Governing Body for Calisthenics in Ireland - Irish Calisthenics Institution. This was to bring other clubs together and help to grow the sport. This was established in 2018 and coincided with me developing the first Calisthenics Athlete Development Pathway for the sport. This was designed for coaches and athletes. I have also been a P.E teacher for over fourteen years, and have developed Adapted Mobility Programmes which we now implement in schools as an intervention and teach others how to implement this programme.
