About Jamie Hessing
I began pursuing my Juris Doctor at Capital University Law School in August 2023 and have academic and professional interests in environmental, energy, real estate, estates and trusts, and administrative law. I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science with a minor in Environmental Science from Ohio Dominican University. As a Legal Intern with the Ohio Casino Control Commission, I gained hands-on experience in administrative law, regulatory compliance, and agency decision-making processes. My professional interests have been further shaped through my internship with the Rock Creek Conservancy, my leadership as Vice President and President of the Environmental and Energy Law Society, and my attendance at the Energy and Mineral Law Foundation Annual Institute. Outside of law school, I enjoy spending time outdoors with family and friends, walking my dogs, watching football, and researching genealogy.
